Who we are and what this policy covers.
Mainframe Licensing Experts ("we", "us") operates mainframelicensingexperts.com, an independent buyer side advisory for mainframe software licensing. Learn more on our about page. This policy covers data collected through this website. Data shared inside a client engagement is governed by the engagement agreement and NDA, which are stricter than anything written here.
Two forms exist on this site. The contact form collects your name, work email, company, the publishers involved, your situation, your timeline, and an optional message. The newsletter form collects your email address. We do not ask for anything else, and we ask you not to include confidential contract detail in a first message.
Contact submissions are used for one purpose: responding to your enquiry about our services. Newsletter addresses are used to send The Mainframe Licensing Brief and nothing else. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we never share enquiry details with IBM, Broadcom, BMC, Rocket Software, Software AG, Precisely, or any other software publisher.
Form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third party form processing service, which transmits them to us by email. Formspree maintains its own privacy policy governing data in transit through its systems. Our website hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.
This site does not run advertising trackers and does not load social media pixels. If we use analytics, it is limited to aggregate measurement of page traffic to understand which resources readers find useful. We do not build individual profiles of visitors.
Enquiry emails are retained while we correspond with you and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return to the conversation, which buyers preparing for a renewal often do. Newsletter addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Every issue of the Brief includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and the CCPA, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. We honor these requests regardless of jurisdiction. Write to us through the contact form and we will respond promptly.
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with an updated date. We will not weaken the commitments above without saying so plainly. Questions about anything here, or about how confidentiality works inside an engagement, are welcome at any time via contact.
